Oxford Town Hall are working to support the local community

Oxford Town Hall may be closed to the public, but the team are still hard at work. The sales and events team are still busy taking bookings for later in the year and 2021, while rearranging bookings that have cancelled due to the current Coronavirus Outbreak. Many others in the team have been redeployed to other areas of Oxford City Council (who own and manage Oxford town Hall) to support current efforts to help the community.

One new project the team have been working on is with Oxford City Council staff, who have been working with local charity the Oxford Hub and have created 5 Locality Response Hubs throughout the city. These hubs, staffed by Oxford City Council staff and volunteers, will be helping vulnerable residents get the support they need during the Coronavirus Crisis.

Set up in record time, the hubs offer help from the local food bank, getting medicines delivered, or dealing with isolation and wellbeing support. The team at Oxford Town Hall are proud to help support wider Oxford City Council teams and work to support the local community.
