Hartwell House has been a centre for events for 400 years and has a remarkable history. During this time, the magnificent Georgian and Jacobean stately home was home to its most famous resident, King Louis XVIII of France. He resided here for five years from 1809 and in the Library signed his accession papers to the throne and he and his court moved back to France.
The Library is now used for patrons, afternoon tea and is a wonderful room to host a private drinks reception prior to dinner during a corporate retreat. The hotel has 48 bedrooms and seven flexible meeting spaces.
To celebrate the royal wedding, during the month of May we will be featuring a Royal Afternoon Tea including prosecco for £35 per person. For more information visit www.hartwell-house.com
