Greenland’s exciting new accommodation project is now complete after it started just over a year ago. The conference centre now boasts 60 new high quality bedrooms that have replaced the previous single rooms in Paddock House. Sustainability and energy efficiency is a key feature of the new build, with the use of high quality, low energy, responsibly sourced, Green Guide specified materials to meet the BREEAM standards of which have scored ‘very good’. The new blocks also include solar panels, grey water system which reduces water consumption and naturally ventilated bedrooms to help with our CO2 and energy reduction.
The centre has also recently refurbished its AV equipment in 2 of its main conference suites in River House. They now contain a state of the art lectern which consists of a built in sharpe 20″ LCD screen for speakers notes with a high spec resident PC, built in microphone for speakers comfort as well as 2 wireless lapel microphones if required, connectivity for laptop (2 x power sockets, 1 x HDMI, 1 x VGA) which are all controlled via the integrated panel within the lectern. The primary display unit is an Avocor VTF – 8410 screen accompanied by 2 secondary displays NEC 55″ LCD.
Also this year Greenlands have installed new water machines in all of its conference rooms which have a 3 stage purifying system in place; carbon filtration, UV water purification and BioCote antimicrobial protection.
